The ever-evolving circumstances surrounding the spread of COVID-19 in our community means our district must be flexible as plans change to reflect how we will move forward during our community’s navigation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent guidance and actions from the Texas Education Agency and our local Board continue to shape the decisions of the district.
The current waiver from TEA will expire on January 29th and students will have the option to return to campus beginning February 1st. It is important to note the earliest the district may have face-to-face instruction available in full would be February 2021 during the 3rd nine weeks grading period; additional changes to the start date may be made by the State at any time.
We are presenting parents with an opportunity to complete a brief survey and select a learning model for each child enrolled at EPISD for the 3rd nine weeks grade period. Only complete the survey if you would like to submit a change, otherwise, no parent action is necessary. The learning options that parents may select from include: virtual (option for all campus levels), in-person (option for PK-8th grade), and staggered (option for High School level).
Please complete this brief survey by December 31, 2020, for each child that will have enrolled at EPISD.
